PICS!!: Back to the 50's MN

Friday at the 50's was the best it was cool. Saturday & Sunday were HOT.

The Minnesota Street Rod Assn. has near 19,000 members. All 50 State's are represented with Member's from Oversea's. Cars from all over come to this event.The Midwest states show up in force. Blackie & Foose, have been there Boyd this year i was told.

The Swap Meet is on Sunday. Theres a drawing at 1:00 every year for lots of Goodies, like Crate Motors, New Rod Parts etc. All the stuff is donated by vendors. $25 bucks get's Your Car & 2 people in for the 3 days. $10 a day, walking through the gate. One year they gave away a Street Rod. A guy from Canada won it.

 

i dont wanna start a pissin contest, but when were you living here?

MN is pretty loose about shit like that to begin with, and if you have year of manufacture, vintage, pioneer, collector etc plates you can get off with even more. . . but at that, i really dont get the paint thing... when did MN or any state for that matter require PAINT to be legal?

guess no one ever registered a delorian in MN

 

things have changed w the advent of street rod plates ,BUT I too remember the bad old days of harrasment. paint was never an issue tho.
