Could you explain how you did this? I bought one off hamber Marcy, painted it (with oneshot) and now it's too shiny. I figured a few months of my sweaty mitt on it would wear it down but I really like the look of yours.
It's kind of a system from Floquil. Find it in the R.R. section of your hobby shop. It has a few different bottles. One is EARTH, one is GRIME, and one is RUST, or something along those lines. You start with the base, which is the tan or earth color and just wash it all over the casting, let it set up, then flow in the next color and the next, the best part, is you can get pretty aggressive with weathering the finish you just put on, in other words, you can buff off the high spots for more effect. Get creative widdit! The fez and t***le are OneShot after I finished with the weathering. Flowed some india ink wash into the eyes and dabbed a little white enamel in there too.
Hey man, so far these are EXACTLY the kind of knobs I was looking for! Very unique! Everyone of these are worth having! Anyone else have one they want to show?
My niece's 41 chevy truck has an old gl*** door knob as the shifter knob. I think it looks quite nice in the truck. Kael
This is franky. He has a lot of personality. I hand painted this guy. He and some of his fellow frank-en-friends are for sale in the "for sale" section. I have a little baby shift knob company named Zombie Nobs, so if anyone wants a unique, handsculpted knob, look up the for sale add and PM me. Or just let me know what you think.
