New beater...'60 Lark

My little brother just picked it up for $1600.... Inspected, no rust, and low miles, totally unmolested except for a repaint 30 years ago, and same owner for 30 yrs... He drove it 150 miles home... We went over the car, changed some fluids and a belt and put on some new tires... and he drove it to Flint, Michigan from Pittsburgh 3 AM Sunday morning.... The most miles put on it since maybe 1978...

We hope to attend the Broken Dream Cruise... This will be his daily from April to October...

Nice lark, I'm working on a 1950 Stude truck, and then I can get back to my 1959 Lark 2 door.

Why can I never find deals like this?

 

Beats me. I know where a pink '59 that runs and goes but isn't as nice can be had for about half the money, but no one cares.

ya know, drop it a little in front and some polished american 5 spokes and i could forgive the "extra" doors....
for the money, it looks damn nice!
