Need a outer wheel race bearing for a 52 olds 88. I belive that some packards and pontiacs are the same. We are leaveing for Rock N Race in ohio friday morning from chicago. Advanced has 52 pontiac bearings but a 3 day wait for them. any help would be great
do you have a part number? I have some new old stock wheel bearings in the garage.. if one of them fits it is yours for the cost of shipping. I just realized how quickly you need it.. not sure if I can help with that little time, but if we can figure it out tonight I can overnight it to you tomorrow.
You might try this... Pull the bearing out and check it for numbers stamped on the edge of the race. These will be very small and may even require a magnifying gl*** to read. If you can find numbers take the complete bearing to a bearing retailer and have them match it up. They may have the exact bearing or can cross reference them to one that will work. Look for "Bearings" in your phone book. This won't be an Auto parts store, this will most likely be in an area of Chicago that is more industrial in Nature. We have a store here in KC that has just about any bearing ever made. I'm sure a city the size of Chicago has several. You might even try a "Google" search for "Bearings" if you can find a number stamped on your race. Have it overnighted...
Damn.. I have an Inner, B-52. Some BR6s and some BR34s and some seals.. I thought I would have it cause this stuff was from a '54 chevy. I have one more bearing not in a box, but still new..I'll go see if I can find a number on it.
