I plan to wear these when I get my roadster done someday. They are AN-6530 WWII aviator goggles. Originals have gl*** lenses but these repros have polycarbonate plastic.

    Josh-

I'm running the repop AN 6530's too... They are really cool goggles, and I always wanted a pair. My wife finally kicked down last Christmas.
Very comfortable, and they look the part!

  3. A lot of guys cut out the base where your **** sits and staple webbing on underneath.-C9

Jay I'm 5'8". I spent lots of time making the riser and cutting the foam just right. And I drove the car for a week before the vinyl went on.

At first I just had the foam on the plywood (about 3" where my **** sat). But after a 6 hour ride my tail bone got real sore. SO I went back and cut the botom out and did the webbing trick and it was the cure.

My Riser is a 2x4 layed on it side 1 3/4 approx. 3/4 inch plywood seat base.

Sid Chavers has a exellent video showing how to make a built in seat. That is basicly what I went by.

I do know if I had used the stock metal riser and a stock 32 seat cusion I would probably be looking over the DuVaul windshield.

  4. Friend of mine who drives a flathead powered 32 roadster wears those small swiming goggles, especially in the rain. There's also a wide range of ski goggles too

I used Kroop's goggles for years. Available at anyplace that handles skydiving gear (sometimes sold under the description "boogie goggles"), in various tints. Used to buy them in fairly large quan***y to get a cheaper unit price. Used to be $5 to $7 a pair, although I haven't bought any in a while. At that price, when they get scratched/messed up you can pull out a new pair.
