Yeah since Katrina the home builder market has been falling. I worked for CTX Mortgage, a child company of Centex. The let 28 people go today. Centex has already had 2 waves of layoffs since January so I knew it was coming. I am getting severence so that helps. I'll get 12 weeks pay so that will be nice. I hope to find a job with in the next 2-3 weeks.

So if any if you DFW folk know any one looking for a Graphic Artist/Web Designer, hollar at a brother. PM your e-maill address and I'll send you a resume.

    Thanks

    Andy

  4. Sorry to hear about that. I would tell you to look in Midland/Odessa but there is almost no place to live here. We are booming and houses are very high compared to a couple of years ago. Good Luck

If you have family in Houston it still doing well. I'm in the foundation business and can't keep up. We poured 4800 homes last year that average 3000 sq ft. Just started one subdivion for D.R. Horton ,which is based out of Dallas, that we have 1320 houses to pour in it. Lots of the major players here. We have another five year project just starting in the Woodlands. D.r horton,Lennar, david Powers,Weekly, Chesmar,Village Builders,M.H.I., coventry,Pulte and on and on are all building in that area. TP
