don't know if this helps but I took my dad's calipers to a industrial only kind of place.. had no relevance to cars whatsoever but they were happy to plate them and did a great job. They had tons of plating options to choose from. So it might be worth it to look for an industrial plating or general plating company.
If you "plate" carb pieces, you're ASKING for trouble! Big time. The right process more resembles a dye of some sort
Yeah I didn't really mean to plate them. That was cadmium plating on the calipers, but this particular place did a lot of stuff including anodizing, heat treating, nitriding and more.. I just meant that a non car- related place might have what you are looking for.
it may not be anodizing but it may work for other parts of the car like the intake or pulley and such. www.sikindustries.com and they have an office in the bay area.

i dont know what its called, but the anodizing place in burbank is called, but are you refering to the one visable off the 5 SOUTH?
