Does anyone know if there is are modern gauges that will fit inside a Shoebox gauge cluster??? something similar to the attached pic?

I figure that has to be something that is either a drop in, or pretty close that will keep the original gauge look, with modern electronics.

I did this once before with a 1940 cluster, putting stewart warner gauges inside,,,,
Before I go that route again, I was just checking to see if there is an OEM application that I can fit into a shoebox.

    It's a 49 by the way.

    thanks

No idea what it would cost, but Cl***ic Industries will do exactly what you're looking for, and they're an alliance vendor.

They want too much money to do it...

What I did in my forty I did for under a hundred bucks... Cl***ic Industries was over 1200,,, even with the alliance discount.

I ain't got that kind of dough...

I personally prefer the old guages. Ford used pretty much the same gauge guts into the 70s. Just swap out the faces and needles. It's pretty easy to get them to work on 12V with modern senders. There's plenty of help with that in the forum already.

    Yeah, I know - I didn't answer the question:eek: :) .

On the other hand - how 'bout some details on the '40 gauges you did? Any pictures?
