So,I just noticed today that my car got nailed by someone(and it happened at the bar from what I could gather because I didn't take my car out last night due to a flat on the rear tire) and since there were no witnesses and I only have liability insurance,I'm screwed..Just noticed it today as I went to get my tires replaced(only needed one but the guy screwed me on the deal and said he's only sell me a set and not just one) for $160,and while taking my fender skirt off of the driver's side,I noticed my car got nailed sometime between Wednesday and today..Need to know if there's anyone that could help me out with some body work on the door and first 3" of rear body??I'll post some pics in a second..

 

WTF! now thats bull shit..i hate when non drivin MoFo's cant keep it in their own driveway when they should be stayin home..How bad is it Grimm?

Good news though...Met my new landlord today and sneeked a peak into the neighbors back yard and noticed a 30's Ford Pickup cab with glass and solid shape back there...Need to get to know the neighbors now..But,I need to find someone to hook it up with a favor and remove this dent for me..The favor will be paid back at a later date,but will be paid back..

 

You can't tell by the photo'sbut the damage is not good at all..Kinda dips in..

That sucks, that's a common dickhead move hear in Mexico. Guy's looking over his shoulder backing out and rakes the front bumper down the side of your car. I got marks just like that on two of my cars. Sorry to here it.

 

Sad thing is,the car was totally straight except for two dings(one on fender,one on trunk) and the roof...Dammit...I need someone who will spot me some door work...Not to mention I got raped on that tire deal today..

That's a kick in the head but what are you really gonna do? Spend forever trying to find the culprit and try to get money out of him? Chances are he doesn't have any money and doesn't care about your car, otherwise he'd have left a note.

Get out the hammer and dolly and learn to fix it. You're gonna have to learn sometime how to fix dings, dents and scrapes.

Oh snap!!!I just remembered,If I'm lucky enough,the owner will let me look at the parking lot surveillance tapes..And here's where karma's a bitch,that bar is basically ran by the people I support and used to work with,who happen to be a big motorcycle "club"...Might not be as hard as I thought to find who did it and have it fixed..This is a small city after all..

I hate to say it, but I wuldn't expect a bunch of deals on that- I own a body shop, and even if my best buddy came in with a scrape like that, ...well, he'd be buying the beer for a looong time.

however,

it is probably the BEST kind of dent to learn on, because between the actual pulling, and hammer and dolly work involved, by the time you got it "good enough" for a bit of filler, you'd be ready to tackle most any dent.

I lived in Yucaipa the first few years after I moved to soCal, and i loved the place. San Berdoo was scary, (had my car broken into twice there!) but Yucaipa was always quiet and peaceful, with lotsa good antique/junk stores!

 

i've actually had that happen before....

.....being at the bar the night before and waking up the next day with a hudge dent in my car...but i usually figured it was something i did on the way home ...

 

Drunks, meth heads, crack heads. It sucks that your car is fucked up, maybe you should reconsider your hang out.

 

I feel your pain bro. we were at a flea market a couple of yrs ago, and the wifes santa fe got side swiped by some dickless fucker, and didnt leavea not or anything. Security was a freakin joke, they don't give a rats ass here. I so can't wait to leave this place. At least when I move to Cabo I can go torch or burry some dickless fuck in the dessert and forget about there ass. It was major body work.It caught the drivers side rear door, and the whole rear quarter panel/ wheel well. Worst part was I worked for the dealership who I let do the body work, and they couldnt match the Merlot paint for shit, you could see sand marks in the paint where they pulled the door skin and rear qtr out, and plastered it with filler. At least they could have used a filler primer or finer grit paper for the finish sanding. Anyhow we carry full coverage on everythign we have, and all our deductables are $50. Its only a few bucks more, and well worth it. I have had to use my uninsured and under insured motorist several times. Things like this make it worth the few extra bucks for full coverage, not to mention the towing and rental vehicle you can get while your ride is in the shop. It might not be the hottest or hippest ride from the rental place but its virtually free Good luck on getting it fixed.

last summer i watched a jerk slowly back into me .. i figured ..o he'll straighten out now he's close nope whack

after the estimate we left the suburban there .. loaner little car ..
the opposing insurance okayed a mud in rather than door replacement overruling the estimate but did not tell us

after lotsa hassle with the body shop redoing it 3 times ,no paint match, door fit and sand marks on the trim
they did not do what we asked or said theyed do
we finally picked up let it sit at home 2 days later we notice the opposite side is creased... the only .. only way it would have been done is at the body shop.. like backing it outa the chainlink lot.. the scrape lines up with the center hinge... they claim it was there the whole time .... funny when the went over the whole truck during the estimate they had offered to do the rockers for extra cash it was not there or they would have wanted to do that repair too

kinda like a waiter spittin on your food

it was all smiles and happiness until we called them on the switcharoo, bad paint ,and mis fit ... the girl estimater lost her computer estimate our copy meant nothing as things changed when they started the work and she was never there when we were picking up th truck

you know you didn't HAVE to pay that for the tires right? get your tire size, pick up the phone, call around. you can call half a dozen places to compare prices in about 10 minute or less. i found not 1 but 3 regular tire guys here that i can get a good honest deal from.

that dent isn't that hard to fix if you know what tools to use. hammer dolly shrinking disc and it'd be straight in no time...ken....

 

Since when is owning a car all about attitude and not about fixing it.

Grab some cahonnies and a hammer and dolly.
