Well we have agreed on a price...$1000.00 for a running but not exactly driveable 2 door sedan, and I am extatic!!!
While I usually "peruse" thru the internet and find all my "wish list" pictures on there and the HAMB also, I have found NOTHING but street-rodded or hacked up '47 Chevy pictures!! So I am begging for some pictures for some inspiration. This car i am getting is BONE STOCK!!! Looking for "style" ideas, yes I know it is what "I want it to look like" But opinions are always welcomed for different ideas on the same car. It is a 2 door sedan, NOT a fleetline or coupe!! Maybe that is why I can't find pictures??? Not very common of a car it seems?!?! ANY sedan pictures would be appreciated, something other than the "painted grille" or painted bumper type streetrods....THANKS, Ken

I have a '46 Stylemaster two door sedan myself. Bought it yard-driveable but not roadworthy, and I too paid $1000 for it. I'm collecting parts for it right now, it's going to be lowrider bomb style.

Check out Chevybombs.com if you haven't yet, it's a great site with lots of 40's Chevys. Very few two door sedans get the lowrider treatment though, and I also noticed a shitload of ugly 80's style streetrods being built using the 2dsd myself.

I have a '46 Stylemaster 2 door sedan. Basicly the same as a '47 except for the grille. I've been neglecting it while I work on other projects.

Did that BEFORE I asked. There were just TOO many "painted bumper and painted grille cars for me!! A N D "gasp!!" bent over crying baby dolls!!!!

I looked at '46 to '48's, and nothing really caught my eye??? ANY OTHER sites??? I really like the lines of my '47, so I guess I am just looking for "ideas", if that makes sense??? I am primarily a "lowrider" or "bomb" type of a guy with my '49 fleetline and 4-'64 Impalas so I am just trying to bring the '47 up to speed, but I just don't see "non-fleetlines" around too much...Ken

he painted the bumper just until he can find a decent one to chrome. I told him it was fine either way. and yes those are lincoln push buttons.

Painted the bumper with what? the grille? is it chrome? and how about a "tech" on those pushbuttons??? I would never have thought that on one of these cars but I like it...Thanks, Ken

The pale green one and the black bomb with the gold trim really sit nice. Are those cars bagged? Do we know how the suspensions are set up?

I want my '46 to sit like that, might be tough with a 6.00 17" rim and tire (I plan to run artilleries on mine)

Not a 2dr, but very nice car and totally stock except the drivetrain, 350 with 4L60E. Has probably put 60/70k miles on the car since built.

I love these cars, 46 and 47 are my favorite years.

My father owned one, the stance was everything. It was the only slow car he owned. The car sat less than a soda-can off the ground.

After he passed away, my family was in a pinch for money, and we sold it. It got sold to my cousin Eddie, then sold to his father in-law, a.k.a. My Uncle Asshole.

My step-father thought it would be neat to get me that as my first car 2 years ago, but he wanted 11 grand for it, (it wasn't running, it was more like a planter.)

Now hes making it an abomination. Some guy at a random gas station is doing work to it, making it some "wild custom" as Uncle Asshole so proclaims. Mostly non-traditional HAMB stuff, (97 Saturn Tailights? What the fuck?)

But the pictures look good, and best of luck to you and your build. I would like to follow it closely, as I will be looking for one of these when I'm done with my car.

Not that it'll help anyone with ideas, since it's totally bone stock and untouched yet, but here's a pic of my '46 2dsd. It's already got a '61 235 so that'll stay. Beyond that, I want it to be basically all stock, but with every optional factory trim/accessory/chrome piece on it and sitting as low to the ground as possible.

Any info on the suspension of the black/blue roof car? That one sits nice too.

Sure..Gambino notch (had to slide the bottom of rear seat forward and put a gangster lean on the seat back) TRI-ANG 4-link from A.R.T. 2500lbs bags and a lot of cussing!!

Going to drive it like this for a wile then start in on the front!! Whish me luck...

If you need any pic or have any more questions just let me know...
