Race Dates

I am still trying to get an idea of who is wanting to race at Wichita on September 9th (we get free entry and free strip food). Please send me a PM and let me know if you can make it. Also...Ardmore is having a reunion race on August the 1st. If we can get together a 6-8 car field I think I can get us free entry.

The strip already has Flathead dragster guys coming and a few blown dragsters. They are trying to get the Southwest Jr. Fuelers and I will be there with the Central State g***ers.

This ought to be a really fun "ole time" race date. Like I said, if we can get a field together I might be able to get us free entry. PM me ASAP. Thanks, Ron.

Hiney...I will be racing Rodan at Thunder Valley and Lawton in the next couple weeks, also. I'll post the time and dates in case you guys feel like making some laps with me. We will be taking the Central State G***ers to both strips and we are going to try to get the Dragonfly to run with us. He has a new engine he needs to sort out. The pavement is dry...lets go racing!!! Ron.

 

OK...racing this Saturday (4pm) at Thunder Valley with the Central State G***ers, the Dragon Fly and a couple B/Altereds. Should have a blast. We will pay normal entry and run T and T out of lane 5.

Wes at Lawton is working out the kinks to have us in Lawton in two weeks or so. They are paying the g***ers a purse...becasue they have run there before. It would be great if we could get a few of the dragsters there and let them see us run the 1/8th.

If you want to go to Lawton we could all meet at Sams race shop and tow down together (I can give you directions to Sam's). Should be about 8-10 cars going.

Ardmore is sending Sam the tickets for us to get into the Reunion race. Let me know so I can tell Sam you want to go and where you want the tickets mailed. Hiney...Sam has you on the list.

 

well the csga (g***ers) are booked officially for august the 10th fri night as the headliner be there........help entertain the fort sill boys.........contact me for info if you are with the g***ers sam

 

The strip is making the trip there by the g***ers well worth their while...because they have had them there before and they were well recieved.

Guys, this is a chance to make a new "contact" for running our cars...and maybe next time we can negociate enough money to cover our towing expenses.

I will have HA/GR flyers ready to hand out to anyone who wants to know the rules for building one of these cars. This might be an excellent opportunity to plant some seeds in Lawton and see what will grow.

Send Sam or I a PM and let us know if you want to be part of the show. We can meet up at Sam's and tow our cars down together if you like........

 

Godzilla, Is the "Wichita" track in Kansas or Wichita Falls, Texas? If in WF, TX., let me know the date,please. I would love to see ya'll run.

I thought Ardmore was Sept. 1st, not Aug. 1st. I need clarification on this, because we were planning on going to Ardmore. Sam told me it was in Sept. We plan going to Lawton also on Aug 10th. We've got a small caravan of g***ers going to both events. Come on Ted and Larry, why you guys caravan down there with all of us! Fred and Scott Mercer plan on going too.

guys guys , the ardmore deal is sep 1st, the lawton deal is friday aug 10th, wichita is in kansas, the 9th of sep. hamb drags aug 25th ark city sep 23d, mokan ahra reunion race oct 7th. And I am coming to tulsa the 28th of july (next sat) to see the sdra and run my vicky at tulsa, so all you guys who cant make it 100 miles up the pike can come out an play, I hope to see a bunch of you (g***er guys) there........................sam

 

This is just a reminder...The strip at Wichita has offered free entry and track food on the 9th for the little dragsters and g***ers for their nostalgia race.

If you are taking a little dragster or g***er to the race in Wichita to run the nostalgia event...you will need to tell them at the gate that you are "running with the Central State G***ers." Ron.
