    Hello all.

I've just got my self cleaned up after bathing in Gojo. The motor has been pulled out of the car. The Ford Flathead 226 Six. It's got a long way to go.

Everything will now be pulled out of the engine bay, all wires s****ped, and so on, and will be sprayed some form of candy-blue, metallic or something, the color is still in the air. The motor will be worked on by me, and the things I can't do, will be taken care of out of my control.

I talked to a guy named Jim from Red's Headers, and he said that they could make me a set of dual exhaust headers for my motor, and I'm most likely going to go with that. Anyone deal with these guys before?

While the motor is out, suspension will be re-built, springs cut, and hopefully a disc-brake setup as I want to drive the car almost like a daily driver.

Pictures will be up either later tonight, or tomorrow afternoon.

    See you on the road...

So all in all, six hours later, some good times, and a hell of a lot of grease, my motor has finally been pulled.
It was a real pain in the *** getting it out. We were having clearence issues with the ****** and the suspension, but we pryed it, and its okay, becuase suspension will be done over.

While the motor is out, I have a lot of work to do. Cleaning the engine, taking it apart. I'm sending the block out to get all done up again, but I'm doing the grunt work.

My cousin and I will hopefully spray the engine bay at the end of the week. I'm gonna go with a little contrast, go with the rails grey, and the engine bay the metallic blue. I'll photoshop that on my own.

Hope everyone enjoys watching my build, and I'm loving the feedback I'm getting. I love how everyone is impressed that an 18 year old actually has a good head on his shoulders, and isn't putting fart-cans on Hondas.

    Enjoy!

just don't let the feedback go to your head. This is a fast moving board. Not unusual to find your post 5 pages or more deep after 24 hours.

In a few months you'll look back and be amazed how much you've learned and have a great sense of accomplishment. Good luck to you!

Yeah, this is the fastest board I have ever been a part of, and I'm a part of one for my other car.

I was just the winning bitter on that Nicson dual intake on eBay a few hours ago, I didn't meet the reserve however. I hope the guy gets back in touch with me and we can work out a deal. That would make that engine sah-weet!

Jim is a great guy! I was accidentally sent the wrong drivers side header for my car, but I didn't discover it for 4 months. (health problems kept me from working on the car) I sent an email and a picture and they took care of it right away. Great service! One tip though, spring for the jet hot coating right away.

    Good luck with the build!
