    Hi Guys

Just wondering, as my panel from Seon has turned up. Thanks Seon its great and huge for that matter.

The question is; what headers to fit? or which are the most likely to fit? from you guys experiences.

Its a 63 Chevy panel, has a standard manual gearbox fitted. I fitted a sbc in as it came without an engine. I have tried some headers in the whole, like 3 sets. None of the sets i have tried, will let the standard clutch mechanism work, without modification. Not that i cant modify, but just wanted to get it done to a standard spec, so at least the clutch will work as it should.

    Thanks for your input guys.

    I await your replies.

    Cheers as always

I've got a '62 Suburban...the front suspension on mine is a torsion bar set-up, which adds another crossmember and bars you don't have to worry about on yours. But I'm in the same boat about headers.

It's either Hedman or Hooker that has an application chart, and the chart will tell which headers fit a '63-'66 C10 (That's essentially what your truck is).

My truck has the original 283 with center-dump ram's horn exhaust manifolds. I just bought a 250-horse GM crate engine, and it's either going to get repro 2.5-inch rams horns from Year One, shorty headers, or Speedway rams horn cast iron headers. I know the center dumps all fit, because that's what's on it now. Daily driver/sometimes tow rig, LOTS of miles. I don't need full-length tube headers, just something that doesn't restrict.
I've got one 2.5-inch factory-style manfifold, and a set of speedway rams horns in the shop now. I'll probably go with those: repro manifolds are pretty spendy, and a set of coated shorty headers is almost $300 (though a company is selling them on ebay for $189. Has stainless, too)

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers for that.

The only reason i was looking for full length headers. It would save on the fabrication side of things. Just bolt some cherry bombs straight on and away i would go.

Torsion set up huh, that doesnt sound like fun. Easy to lower though, i would imagine.

    Cheers Roland

    Any other ideas?

I was thinking of these, for $145.95.

    Anyone tried these?
