Aren;t you running a 302 with the rodncustom mounts? They can also bolt in and work just as well.

Well if worst comes to worse, throw the Jamco kit on ebay and go to Rodncustom.com, speedway.com, or ebay. They all have the same kit for around $100. They bolt in and work just fine. I would prefer to weld them in, but if you don't have the resources, bolting them is just fine.

Is that like the 909? If you are totally screwed I can help. I have a mobile welder. But see if a local person pops up first.

The mounts Solo has are not bolt in, and infact there are no bolt in Merc/SBF mounts.

Bill, the mounts for the shoebox are completely different, the 49-51 Merc mounts are little perches that weld onto the inside of your frame rails on Mercs. You will get the same kit anywhere.

I know shoebox/merc aren't the same, but I coulda sworn I remember seeing them being bolt-in somewhere. I also thought yours were too.

    Nevermind, get the welder.

I am in Corona. You can bring it by here and I will TIG it for you or if you have 220 in your garage I can TIG it there.

Well... Others may disagree... but a lot of welding is knowing the equipment you are using and knowing how to get it setup. I would rather TIG, and I would rather use my welder. Sorry... trying to help, but I also want to do a good job for you.
