Very little will be direct bolt on. But i am sure much of the equipment can be modified and adapted.

PM go-kat-go, he used a bunch of later model suspension, power steering and brake parts on his '64 Chevy truck. He should have some good insight on how to go about using that stuff.

I think the front disc brakes are an easy swap. Try the stovebolt mailing list, forgot the URL.

'63 is the first year for the coil spring independent front end for Ghevy/GMC. Before that they were torsion bar. The entire crossmember with disk brakes can be swapped with a little work.

The frames are very similar up through '72, change some in '73, and really don't change much through about 1987.

'73 and later all have leaf spring rear suspension. '72 and earlier are typically coil on Chevy, leaf on GMC, but both could be ordered the other way.

I would expect that most of the front stuff would swap with a little work. The rear could be a bit more difficult.

  9. There's a guy in TN that has a mid/late 70's Chevy frame and firewall with 60's rear suspension under an F-100. So....I guess it's a matter of how bad do you want to use the parts.

Well, he said i could have the stuff for freeso..the 63 has a 350 in it now and so does the 75, could i swap the whole front end?

  11. The brakes are a shoein, but you do have to alter the the top hole in the spindle.
i think I have all the specs on it here somewhere, if you want.
You will need to do the mastercylinder, and proportioning valve.

I used a 81 front clip section on a 69 truck once...I unbolted the clip from the 81, and I only had to drill 4 holes to get it hooked up...I think the 63 is gonna be close to the same...
