Luigi's, a tavern and Italian restaurant at the corner of Shafto Road and Asbury Ave. in Tinton Falls, is running a Monday night car cruise beginning this Monday, the 23rd. Things kick off around 6PM. This is going to be a casual gathering with some food and drink specials like 2 large pizzas for $11.95. All are invited. This might be a good spot for local HAMBers to get together. I have no financial interest in any of this.

Yeah, Howell is a good place to be, but remember that 15 minutes from the beach is only good in the winter. In the summer tourist season it can take 15 minutes just to cross Ocean Ave.

Thanks for the heads-up, BigEd and john56h! Glad there's a little local interest brewing.

I would love to see that Es***. Do you have any pics you can post?

Zerk, you helped create some of that local interest with your thread about Ray's '39. It would be great if we can keep it going.

Monday's a school night... but I'll see what I can do. Maybe I'll shoot down after work seeing as I work about 30 min from there. Pizza is good.

Well, judging from the weather reports, it looks like tonight is going to be rained out. But there's always next week.

    Unionville,

I grew up in Howell for most of my life - just make sure you check on the water rates (don't laugh) - SUPER expensive.

I live in Freehold Twp, just north of Howell, but similar makeup (rural, close to the beach, etc.)

    FWIW.

101.5 had a blurb on that recently. Seems some ppl in the area were charged huge amounts for water bills. Dont know what the deal is, but definately will check into it before we move. Basically anywhere in that area, dont know why but we are looking more in the Howell area. Seems to be more in our pricerange for the property than Freehold or surrounding areas.

Just a bump to remind everyone that, even though we had bad weather last week, we're going to give it another try this Monday, the 30th. Hope some of you can make it -- ***uming Mother Nature smiles on us. It would be nice to put faces to the names we've gotten to know.
