To me, they look like 35 or 36 Ford p***enger car lights. (the 35 and 6 buckets are similar to each other but different) But the painted rim throws me. If the rim came with the buckets, maybe they are off a large 39 or so truck? Or maybe only the rim is off a large truck?
I agree, '35 or 6 (I think all parts swap, though buckets, rims, lenses are different stock) with truck rim...I think the basic '35 type reflectors and rims were on trucks (not commercials?) through '39, then updated with selaed beams...bucket was much shallower, just enough to fit reflector, but front ring the same.
And...anybody got any surplus '36 rims and lenses, maybe reflectors?? Up to something strange with this unfamiliar late-model stuff here...
Thanks guys. The one unit had a stainless rim with it but it's a bit damaged. It's also very slightly different I found the loose rim at the same place and saw it looked similar and it did fit but I could only find the one. Now I need to try and find another one. At least you're pointing me in some direction now. I post a pic of the stainless rim so you can see it too.
I was so busy with other stuff all weekend that I nearly forgot to take the pic I promised. Here's the other headlight rim I got and as you can see it doesn't look too good anymore:
