    Nope...

They are the endpieces of the Grabhandles in the back of a early '50s 4Dr Chevy...

I bet you can't identify these I did on a T-Bucket Roadster. They came off the rear of a wrecked 70's Honda scrambler motorcycle.

Mine are made into the headlight brackets, made a tear-drop shaped
spacer and cu a scoop out and mounted the lamps inside.

i got them at my local napa, i dont have a clue on what part number, or even how long they sat on the shelf. i did have to modify the bucket a bit, but nothing you can see when the cover is on. i took a die grinder and buzzed the top of the old socket and it will then fall out with a tap from a punch. then i drilled a small mounting hole behind the socket hole for mounting, and filed out the original sockethole a bit with a rattail, and she fit like a glove....let me go pull off one of my tops and see if i can get a pic to show you....

heres a pic, you can see it mounts with one screw on the back. the socket has a bracket on it for this....i think the ones on ebay are similar. anyway i made a gasket out of some rubber i had laying around then ran my mounting screw thru it to kinda hold it in place. i hope this pic helps illustrate what i was babbling about!!??!!

I have mine inside the headlight buckets, parking lights too...I have them wired so that the parking lights go out when the headlights come on, and when you signal, the amber light flashes inside, making one whole headlight seem to glow/flash orange... they work fine and are very visible when in operation, no cluttered up front end. IMO they can be seen just as well if not better than any of those other tiny lights mounted on the frame. I think you can see em' as good at night with the headlights on as in the day without.

I quite like this style of light. A clear / frosted lens (I think) would make it blend in a bit more. I do however like the idea of seeing the actual turn signal on the car rather than hiding it away too much. But then I also like the idea of it inside the headlight bucket.

Keep them coming guys as there som very interesting ones out there.

Here is what I got on e-bay yesterday - a set of trafficators / semaphores. It might not necessarily be American made but it still comes from the right era. That way there's no obvious turn signal units visible until you use them.

Yeah, they do. In the 58 Bug I had a few year ago I actually added an extra wire to also make them flash.

Unfortunately these never arrived. I can only guess they went missing in the post. So, I bought another pair. As I've said before, I'm going to install them in the sides of my '34 Chev's grill shell. The pics below show them in the closed, nearly open and fully open positions. Notice how it lights up only when it's fully opened.

Here's a video clip of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkA_9TnIIeo
