Biggest suprise of my life!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by littledeucecoupe427, Apr 19, 2004.

  1. So I woke up Saturday morning knowing that a bunch of us BC HAMBers were going to be meeting at 3 for some burgers and the general hang out kind of thing. So its around 1:00 and I hear some bikes tearing down my street, I live beside a main street so I thought nothing of this. Then my family calls me out on the front deck and its some of the local HAMBers on my lawn. This is a total suprise and I figure they must have stopped by before the meet at 3 or something like that. So I go out to the garage open it up and what do I see??? About 20 smiling people holding parts and tools and a bunch of rods and customs are covering my alley!!! Then they all start comming into the garage. I still have no idea what is going on and then some one says to me "Were here to get your car running" I can hardly belive it!!! I have been dreaming of getting my car running for over a year and a half now and here are all my friends comming over to make that dream come true. It turns out that they have been planning this with my family for over a month and I had no idea what so ever!!! To say I was shocked, suprised and estatic are huge understatements! After 6 hours of hard work from everyone including the parts, time and labour all DONATED we were finally able to roll my car out into the sunlight for the very first time! Once again I want to thank everyone involved that were present and those that also had a helping hand in this and couldn't make it out, you guys are the best! [IMG] I think my "family" suddenly grew with leaps and bounds on Saturday and you are all welcome back anytime, our door is always open. So thank you all for letting my dream come true of getting my car brought back to life and you can be sure I'll be out driving it everyday once I get a little more work on it done, because I think my breaks might be a little iffy, what do you guys think??? [IMG] [IMG]

Once again if you did not get a "Auto Trivia" game please either let myself or Shiny "29EHV8" know so that we can give one to you because I have some spares here.

So here are some pictures I thought you all might like to see...

Here is only some of the cars that came

  15. You guys ROCK!

It's friendships such as these that make the HAMB the great place that it is!

That car only has 58,000 miles on it. It clacked for a bit when we first fired it but after a few minutes she shut up and smoothed right out. It frickin runs great!
What a fun day from cruising there in the morning to cruising back that night.
You guy's should have heard Poncho's wagon in the Deas Island tunnel with straight pipes, my ears finally stopped bleeding this morning! [IMG]

  30. I'll try to get them up, it turns out my sisters camera doesn't have the the chord to plug it into the computer so we will have to get one first. I think lowryder took a group shot also but I could be wrong.
