Did this myself now and NADA!!! Nothing relating to what this guy's asking!

I'm curious myself and now you just shoot him down. If you don't want to help then don't reply, as easy as that! Why is it that this fight has to happen so very often where people can't give constructive feedback? Apart from his reply, how else did you know that he didn't perhaps already do a search?

Are you using the spring on the Ford axle above it as stock but with the wheelbase extended to use a "suicide" perch, OR mounting the spring behind the axle on batwings with hairpin radius rods or four-bar setup OR suspended between the split wishbones?

The Plymouth/Dodge "wavy" axle can have batwings welded on for behind axle spring mounting and hairpin radius rods or a four-bar setup.

Was planning on doing split bones, on the Ford, and Bat wings on the Dodge. Yhea I replied to the guy before my search....If any body has some pics out there would really like to see some....Really curious on the Dodge/Plymouth, I came upon 2 of these axle's real cheap and fully rebuilt, one is a straight tube the other is a wavy...

    VERY Fucking simple.
Seems like the same question gets asked every other week.

A search 2 minutes ago turned up 500 matches for "Suicide".
    If his axle has a 3" drop,or 4" drop,came off a lawnmower,
Garbage Truck,or Zamboni,it makes no difference.

Some people don't search, because they are not real
internet savy,or familiar with the boards software.
So they might appreciate a link,to the HAMB search.
    or Google Image search.Fair enough.

Others are too Fucking Lazy to search, and want to
be spoon fed, instead of doing their own research.
How many posts like: "Show me pictures of red cars",
"Show me pictures of painted wheels",or "Show me pictures,
I'm too Fucking Lazy to search for myself" do we really need ?

    Make sense ?

It must just be me every Thread I start seems to piss people off. I generally only view threads that I'm interested in, or can offer assistance with, was just a simple request for some pics of how others have done it.....Sorry I guess I'll look else where for ideas on this one. Thanks to those who had some good input on this topic....

Don't be dis-enchanted. I thought your question was legitimate. I've found most HAMBers to be very helpful. Just ignore the PMSers that delight in playing HAMB cop.

I'm one of them lazy guys I guess. I'm also computer stupid. I do usually try the search but either don't put in the right word or it just hates me. I also don't just camp on the computer every day and read every post. It might have came up a day or two back but I didn't see it. I think it was a good question and I am in the same boat as you are. Any more pictures? How's the back? I'm frequant several other boards and you never get your butt ate out on a daily basis. But it is fun here. TP

Heres mine it is not finish welded in teh pics but you'll get the picture. I had modified a 55' F100 axle to work with a Model A truck spring.

The rack is NOT mounted to the axle any longer it is mounted to the frame. I didn't want to deal with a slip joint possibly binding in the steering.
    [IMG]Again not finish welded...

Here the rack is mounted to the frame but can't see it...

    Here's a couple of mine.
Using a stock A axle and Posies 5 leaf, I have 7 in. from grd to the front tip of of the frame with 24 in. tires, the perch itself is 6" from the top of the crossmember to the top of the sprg. Made from 4 pcs. of 5/16 plate.

Bad move mounting the rack on the frame. With a straight axle your just asking for bump steer problems. Mounting it on the axle is the correct way but as you stated you've got the added problem dealing with a slip joint in the steering.

Sorry for getting a bit fired up at the guy and causing a stir. As you might have gathered I'm a bit fed up with guys who feel the need the police what questions are allowed to be asked.

I was hoping to see pics other than the few I've collected over a period of MONTHS here on the HAMB and lost focus a bit. Here they are. Enjoy!
