I drove to Indiana over the weekend and picked up my next project. Here are some pics of my $200.00 26T Roadster body.

And the **** that owns it...

I also have a really nice boxed rolling 29' ch***is. I plan on taking my time on this one and making it really nice. Unlike the truck I am building now to get my feet wet. The truck now is my first, and really a stepping stone.

is that a 26? I thought the 26's had the "turtleback" style, where the trunk/quarters are just bolted to the back of a bucket....

maybe I'm going crazy, I know little about these roadsters (and it shows!!)

I was told it was a 26' I honestly can't tell the difference between a 26 or a 27... All I know is around WI I couldn't even get the cowl in this good of shape for $200.00... Oh:D As for stealing all of Indiana's good iron, heh you ain't kiddin' there was tons of stuff I had sen while driving through there I wanted to go home with!

But just to let you know this body was originally from Kentucky.;) Or so Iwas told... Now someon buy my stuff I have for sale in the "For Sale" forum! Please!

The turtle deck on the body shown does unbolt. All T roadsters have dismountable turtle decks. The pictures are indistinct and the orange rust runs don't make for a clear view of anything. Body looks to me to have been dipped and not coated or sand-blasted and left naked for a week.
Darn good buy, though!! Have fun with it, it will live quite happily atop your boxed Model A frame.

Ooooh! Thanks for the inspiration! I'll take as much as I can get of that! As for the turtle deck the last guy that had it(or the guy before him) had welded it to the body. I will make it work as is... It doesn't look that bad but the welds ****... I will need to do a lot of grinding. Also when I was sent pictures of it the body was just sand blasted but I couldnt get there for two weeks and it was left outside. Hense the rust... Very fixable I bet I could powerwash it out.:)

Nice find. You can store that one in your living room and go get another one for the garage. Your addiction is just starting and only gets worse with age. Wonder how I know that?

Thanks guys. In the picture of that orange one above how did you get it so low and keep the body unchanneled? If I could keep it on top of the fram that would be great! I'd like to get the bottom of the frame 5-6 inches from the ground.;) Using a 15" wheel in the rear and 14" in the front to give it a rake. Obviously a shorter tire up front versus the rear as well. Also where can I possibly get replacement panels? I will get some close up pictures of the turtle deck so you guys can see the tiny dents all over. I was going to try and straighten as much as possible, and fill the rest with lead. but I am afraid they may be too far gone.

  19. It's a 26/27 but it lookslike it has been pieced together in an other than stock manner.

    Good score.

200 that's cheap! Shoot, and I paid 100 for just the back of a good body tub basically and still gotta take out fenders build new substructure and put on new cowl, at least it was only 30 miles away I guess. And I'm getting ready to buy 1919 dodge roadster minus cowl for 250, but they are kinda hard to find, hope I get to it first!
