Many, many THANKS to Sue and Dennis of O'Brien Truckers, fellow HAMB Alliance Vendors, for making our plaques for our new Florida chapter of the "Poor Boys" Car Club. Our chapter needed 32, and our brothers in Detroit and Sacramento needed some more to, so I placed a order for a total of 63 plaques. They were made on time and on schedule , and the quality is fantastic. Here's a tip of the hat to you !!! THANK YOU from all the "Poor Boys" ! Glenn Hayes Florida Chapter "Poor Boys"
Yup, quality stuff. Don't mount them so they hang down too far, Poor Boy Sparky from the Tennessee chapter had to patch his back together after it hit on the road. Looks cool though, he hung the broken piece off of his plaque with chain links. Here's mine:
Just got ours yesterday and haven't even opened the box yet. I'll get around to it tomorrow and post some mounting pictures.
Yes! I replaced the lower piece with a steel plate, shaped like the original. I used chain links, and it clears the road by 1/4" or so,and 'jangles' like a drag plate should!!! The steel also makes some sparks, adding to the 'SpArKy Effect" PeeBee F L!!!! Thanks Brian, and Sue! O'Brians are the original drag plates for all car clubs, from WAY back when....Sparky www.theoriginalpoorboys.com
Thanks to all concerned. The plaques look great. Nice clean, sharp detail and the black background is super. Guess I need to finish my car now... Mike
they look great, hats off to dennis for a killer job...feels great to be a poor boy and display a sweet looking plaque on the back of a killer hot rod ........rooster
I just updated out part of the Poor Boys website, BTTT so the rest of the TPBs can see the support sticker art. Poor Boys Tampa Chapter Webpage
The plaques look really great. I almost don't want to put it on my car. I guess I have to put some more work into the piece of **** to do the plaque justice. Maybe I'll just work on the back half of the car where the plaque is. You can only see one end at a time anyway...usually. Thanks to O'Brien Truckers. Thanks to Glenn for his time and toil. Thanks to "The Original Poor Boys"
I have to say, I met Dennis awhile back at a HAMB BBQ in Vegas and he was one of the nicest people to chat with! I will definitely be supporting this HAMBer in the future with my cast parts needs... especially for one of those awesome Hildebrandt Oil Filter/Coolers!
You need to contact Dennis and Sue for pricing because you'll need to have a design and a master made by them to make your plaques from. Call them at 508-248-1555
OK, now you guys have to stop this or we're going to get embarr***ed! Actually haven't had time to do much surfing on the HAMB (or anywhere else) as we tried to get as many plaques done as we could before leaving for Louisville. So now we're here and I'm catching up a little. You GUYS are going to love the BH plaques we'll get off to the new owners as soon as we get home, couldn't get all caught up before we left - first in first out. Although we did do one rush job that I'll tell you about after the show is over next month. Thanks for the order and glad everyone liked their plaques. Dennis PS No Trent - spent our free time doing the GNRS and Round-Up this year. But that's one area we'd love to get back to - awesome riding out there.
