If I remember right, St. Paul was the first Nats that my brother went to and that had to be in the late seventies. That got him hooked and the photos he brought back got me hooked.

Like I said, there are prolly other places the could hold this event, but they're bound by a contract that undoubtedly is paying someone a fat check. Until that goes away, accept Louisville as the place.

The Dougans will be getting to Louisville late afternoon on thursday.

My coupe isn't ready, but dad will have his black 32 five-window.

KS plates "32FORD". Hoping to see everybody at the HAMB meet and greet.

I'm ready for a change of scenery. They need to find a new location. I will be there from Tuesday thru Sunday working. How many years have we been going to Louyville?

IF I was in Illinois ... I would want it to stay in Louisville Ky. too ... It is only about 300 miles from Peoria IL to the Fairgrounds ... :) I was there in the late 80's for the first NSRA Nats in Louisville and have not missed but once since they have had it in Louisville ( 2001 ... was in the hospital with open heart surgery ) .

I just would like a little different scenery ...

I'll be there there Thursday through Sunday with my little girl and some of the Indy guys. We usually try to park in the big open grassy field close to the swap meet. Generally the hamb meet and greet is on Saturday at noon. This takes place on the east side of the main bldg. along the road by the swap meet behind the HRRT tent. You guys wanna do the same thing this year??? We could make it at noon Friday and Saturday??? Any other ideas???

We won't be there this year so you probably have a good chance. Just be sure to get an ice cream cone before you go into the arena for the prize drawing. That seems to be the lucky charm.

Some friends of mine have some rooms at the Executive (right across the street) that they aren't going to use. It is a great place to stay-- super close, good parties and 'celebrities' stay there. ;)
Ha ha ha. PM me if you are interested. I think there are three rooms available....

You forgot big ears. But yes, I've seen a few that were that light. Most are a bit heavier than that though... :p

I've been to a couple other places for the nationals, Columbus being one of them, and just didnt care for it as much. Louisville just has the big convention center for all the vendors and all that land to keep all the cars. I still like it, just wish I was goin this year. Just be sure if you go not to go next door to Six Flags......you MIGHT just get your legs chopped off on a ride!!!

Well, I was going to go, but I got word this morning my Dad pass away. I wont be able to make it and I wont be able to gather information on parts for the coupe that my Dad and I were supposed to put together. Everyone please take pictures for me and get me a new speedway catalog. If anyone can find someone who would like to trade a really really nice shape 40 deluxe hood, I would like to have a really nice shape 39 deluxe-40 standard hood.....GET HIS NUMBER for me. I need some peices parts for a 12v conversion on the flatty. Right now I have to fly to Utah and take my Dad for one last ride. Thanks for all the good things you guys do. And Dads, no matter how busy you are never be too busy for your kids! Dusty

Sam F. you forgot to mention those Okie women all wear those lime green stretch pants to show off their Front Butts and Camel Toes, they also smell like old cheese. Another thing Okie, if when your in Kentucky and hear banjo music coming from out of the woods, drive faster.

I've got to go to Louisville, I only live 25 miles east of the Fairgrounds. Will be there Wednesday through Sunday.

  26. We got here this afternoon (Sunday) and we'll be here till next Sunday 5PM

We'll start setting up the booth tomorrow (Monday) afternoon if you're in the area with nothing to do:)

The HAMBers hang by the HAMB banner which hangs by the fence at the grassy area to the right (east) of the exhibit building just before the swap meet. Meet and greets have always been at 12:00 on Friday and Saturday.

Stop by the O'Brien Truckers booth and take advantage of us with your Alliance membership!

Hmmmmmm, you know I've never bought an ice cream cone before heading over to lose at the car drawing (and I've been there to lose every one of them:cool: ). Guess I'll try it this year. I can always change the disc brake covers from the other guy's to mine:D

See y'all at the booth or the Meet and Greet!

Looking forward to my first year at Louisville. HotrodA is letting me crash with them so maybe they can keep me out of trouble. I thought that Nashville GG was big, but 1100 cars. WOW. Can't wait. Hope the hot rod makes it.
    See ya Wednesday.

I will be working at the Haywire booth through mid afternoon on Friday and Saturday. Since I am not going to Bonneville, I am going to the nats. I will be the gray haired guy with the hot rod T shirt and Levis.
