Mine is a 54, 235. 848 head. Bored .060 over, balanced, mild cam. Dual Carters on a water heated Tattersfield intake. Original Fentons, glass packs S-10, T-5. 10 bolt rear. It runs great sounds killer and is so cool.

I had a 250 / glide in my Chevelle, with a Holley 94 on top. Super dependable, would start at 25 below zero when everyone else couldn't. I just picked up another 250 to put into my "A". I figured that I'd keep things simple this time around.

A belated welcome to the HAMB.

I've had a picture of the oil filter system on your engine on my hard drive so I don't know how long :)

I wondered where I go it from, Thanks for posting it where-ever you did.

So what is the mill going in to?

here's an old picture of mine:-

Probably you got the picture of the Stovebolt or inliners site.

The mill is going into our 41 Chevy Sedan as soon she is back from the paint shop.

Got an other "Toilet paper" oil filter now. It is aluminum with ribbs to cool a bit.

I post pics as soon everything is back together.

I have a stock 201 flathead in my 38 plymouth. It's in pieces at the moment, I pulled the head and the intake and exhaust manifolds. I'm in the process of putting on an aluminum fenton head and a George Asche split exhaust manifold. I just picked up 2 14" aluminized glasspacks for it and I'm getting a custom bent 2" dual exhaust. I have been busy beadblasting every nut and bolt. Everything is getting a fresh coat of silver or black paint before it goes back on. I'll post pics as soon as it's finished.

I would like to HEAR some of these hopped up sixes, when I was trying to pick mufflers and pipe size I searched hard for videos or sound clips, there aren't many out there. I'm going to video mine with no pipes and then with the new pipes and glasspacks.

I built up a ford inline 6 for my wife's 61 Ranchero in 2002. Took a 64 Ford 200 bored it 39 over shaved the head balanced the crank. put Rhodes lifters and a 3/4 race cam, and a 2bbl 450 Holley carb from Cliffords. 2500rpm stall torque converter with a built C-4 trans. Sounds like a coffee pot when it idles and so the wife hates it. I can't seem to let my self part with it but I could use the $ to finish my 48 Olds.

There is nothing like the sound of a split6 with Smithys.

Had that combination in my 41 - sounds like a WWII Warbird is riding your rear bumper.

It was fun to -literaly - blow away those VW Golf (Rabbit) and ricebowl drivers at the traffic lights, but on those long Autobahn trips it was so much on my nerves after 8 hours, that I changed to 2 flowmasters.

Still growling but way better at Autobahn speed.

Quite a few of us Kiwi's were once pretty familiar with the Zed car engine...a hot one at full bore sounds just like a Ferrari Boxer getting nailed...and they were in AC's long before Shelby put a V8 in one.

AaaHhh!!! One of the sweetest sounds in my opinion is a Mk 10 Jag, with a 3.8 litre straight six in it.

Its been said that to to run one smithie and one straight pipe on split headers is as close to perfect as you can get ;)

  14. i got one in my 68 chevy work truck.

I've listened to his many times. There just aren't very many others out there to listen too. I got mine back and it sounds pretty good but it'd a little quieter than I hoped for. I returned it to the shop today because the pipes hit practically everything under the car, he did a shitty job.

'59 235 with a 3 on the tree in my 53 chevy 2 door post.

It's going to get a Fenton 2 carb intake with a Fenton split exhaust manifold fed into functional lakes pipes. A Wayne finned valve cover. I'm not sure what color it will be yet but that is still a long ways off.

I'm building one. 292 Chevy with 3 Webers. Can't seem to get a pic uploaded. My avatar pic is the front of it, though. I am surprised at how many of you are running the inline 6. That's very cool. Can't wait to have mine running. db
