Are you ready? Are you excited? I can't sleep already. I am picking my Dad up at KCI Thursday. Then getting lunch at Arthur Bryants before the cruise down to Joplin in the coupe, hopefully with some more HAMBers. Two of his car club buddies from back-in-the-day (Eliminators- New London Connecticut) will be making the trip out from Colorado. They all haven't hung out at a dragstrip together since maybe 1962....
You better take advantage of that! I've mentioned it to my dad, he can not take car trips more than 3-4 hours long anymore. It kinda pisses me off, he was drag racing in the late 40's and early 50's, I would love for him to see it again. There is always the tape out of the video camera, it's just not the same though.
Now I know I am ready. Ramada Inn called me today with confirmation--Thanks Bob K. Got an e-mail that my pre-registration was received--Thanks Marcie and Ryan. I'm headed to the track this afternoon to make several more p***es before Mokan and Damn! I can't wait!!!
Aug is going to be a busy month....Bonneville....work for a couple days....then Mokan. Cant wait. See you all there.
howdy all !!! animal and I are headed to a small town car show today , I am takin the 37` out in the boonies tomorrow and thrash on it before heading out to mokan ............ nothing like the smell of burn`t rubber in the morning ..... except like at lunch and dinner !!!
So much going on in August !!! I almost forgot , Danyelles birthday is in August.. Looks like we will celebrate on the road.....
The 30th . Looks like we will be on the road going to the drags for her Bday. So I planed a party for the 8th of sept.
If yer goin to the drags on the 30th - yer gonna be a week late man! ...they are on the 25th ain't they? or am I missing medication?
