Dont think you did... Looks to be in great shape. Its all small problems and projects. Divide it up and take your time.
Looks like it is almost done, atleast that s what my wife thinks when I finally get a roller . Good start. yours or a customers? Rusty
You should have an easy time swallowing that, looks like a really nice body. I wish I could have started with something that nice. What are your plans for it?
frame should be stripped and placed in a jig to make sure it is square. needs floors and probably some subrail work. i would like to find a stock firewall. i would like to find some windshield pieces. need to find out what rear end is in it to see if i can keep it. will keep 40 ford spindles but don't know about tube axle. need to build a motor and find a transmission. thinking of a 327 ford 9 inch and a turbo 400 or a t-5. thanks
Sounds like a plan ... I would just buy a set of 32 Ford frame blueprints off eBay and measure the ch***is. Stock firewalls are on eBay a good bit also. Windshields are reproduced and some of the other windshield parts are too. Hopefully the rear end can be used ... http://www.kevinstang.com/Ninecase.htm is a good site for indentifying 9 inch Ford rears. This one also ... http://www.fordification.com/rearends-ford.htm Glad to see another 5W ... on the way to being on the road.
brandy 1929, That's a great start, the body looks good. Take your time building the '32, learn what you don't know and get some help from friends. Good luck will be looking for progress on your '32 on the HAMB.. Cruiser
Brady That project is too cool man! Don't have any doubt about it. Just about as rare as teeth in a chicken's beak. Get after it! RGV Oh, and don't forget to keep us updated with pics.
is there an ipc (illustrated parts catalog) available? for my 53 ford pick up there was an ipc available to see part numbers and see how things went together. or can someone recommend a good catalog? thanks brady
Brady, My jaw dropped when I saw this. I am very familiar with the car. I grew up dreaming about this car- it was in my dad's barn my whole life. It got sold in the late 80's so the kids (me and my sisters) could have a computer, but remained as is in the garage till this past year. If you haven't figured it out yet, the rear end is an 8.75 Chrysler. My dad's got a brand new windshield with gl*** and rubber for the car if you are still looking. PM me for contact info. I'd love to see progress pics when you have them. You got a great car to start with. j-
hey j, i sent you a pm. i want to know everything about the car. and i am still looking for a front windshield. thanks
a little bit of an update. cut out flat firwall, purchased stock firewall. removed front end. going to remove rear end and start from bare frame. purchased windshield from hammeredt's dad.
