Anyone in here have some good photos of the chop process on a 39 Chevy Truck? I am planning on starting my chop this weekend and would like to have some ideas of the do's and don'ts. Thanks...

Mine is a 38/39 (round gauges, two pc windshield), chopped 5". I would do a couple of things differently, to do it over again. I am a glutton for punishment. I also narrowed the whole cab by 4".
I am leaning more toward a bonneville race coupe style, so I should have leaned the post back instead of splitting the roof. If I had chopped it less, there would be less effort in lining everything up. I think 4" is probably the magic number. Cutting the rear window out was a good idea. I didn't want as much taken out of it, so I shortened it 2.5". I also didn't want it narrowed with the cab., so it is still original width. Watch out for the lead in the bottom of the A-pillars and cut them lower than I did. I cut them a little higher to deal with some damage one had. Check out my links for pics.

wow. I forgot how tall mine was. That looks very solid. Take your time and the metal will show you where to go.
