I'm looking to run a car in the 130 mph club, but I have a few questions for anyone who might be able to help. I have read everything that I can find, but I'm unclear if the car I'm going to run needs to fit into another "cl***". Can anyone shed some light on this, or point me to someone who can? Thanks.
The cl***es are based on your motor (cid) and the type of car you are running. Those two will define what cl*** you will be in.
At the USFRA World of Speed meet in September, which is the time for 130 mph club runs, your car will not need to be cl***ified in any SCTA cl***. Also most of the safety requirements are waived for this group. Check out the USFRA web site for rules.
Thanks. I had read the rules, but a few other folks kept telling me that I still had to fit the specs for a cl*** to run at all.
A lot of people get the SCTA Speedweek rules confused with the USFRA World of Speed rules. Two different groups. Many rules the same, not all. Even at Speedweek you can run in "Time Only" if you don't fit any cl***. But you must have full saftey equiptment same as the 300 mph cars.
That's what I was thinking. I'm shooting for the USFRa World of Speed, so I'm good. Now I just have to cut some more air out from under the front.
