I need a new carb for my nailhead, the one that came with the car is pretty bad. I'm thinking About a new Edelbrock, since they carry them at the Local parts stores and Jets and Needles are easy to get at the same places. Anyway, how much carb am I looking for CFM wise?

I was thinking a 650 should be enough (More than enough according to Edelbrock's charts)

    Opinions?

  2. I've got a 650 Edelbrock on my 425. I've heard that the best to run is 2 500's or a single 850. Nailheads like to breathe.

I have a 750 on a 401 and just jet down the primarys for gas mileage. and let it breathe they will take as much as you can get in.

The 750 is a little more. I think that's what I'm going with. I'd love dual quads, but that's 2 carbs, a manifold and more pain in the ass with the Dynaflow linkage. I'm sure it would also hurt a bit more at the pump.
