  2. Ha! Ha! Would E/Gas be a ethanol-gas mixture?

You are right ,a E/Gas car with the # 85 on it would be advertising E-85 fuel.

Hey, you guys laugh and poke fun at this while I'm on my way to Brown Bros. for some of that 54 cent gas.

You guys completely miss the point. Reporters are supposed to know nothing about anything!

:pThis allows them to be unbiased.

Actually that's pretty scary. Imagine if that same guy had to write some thing bad about hotrods. He'd screw it up so bad that the townies would be looking for us with pitchforks. They need to get someone to write stuff about cars that actually know something about cars. :)

That was a really good show. My girlfriend was the one that told me about it and was gracious enough to actually hang out with me 'till the last car left. There was a car from here on the HAMB that was a prototype for a remake that was there too. I wish I could remember what it was called...my mind just went blank...Hmmmm.

So they got it wrong. They posted 32 pictures of various and sundry cool old cars. Good for them (I especially like #18, is that original?)

Natural mistake with the current gas prices that someone would first think about prices rather than cl***ification. In actual fact, it was a rarity to have a Willys coupe running in C/gas. Only one I can remember was running a flathead.
Of course, I'm senile now and prone to misspeak.

  19. Hey, they got at least 50 people to look at it that way.

Reporter advertises ignorance of vintage drag racing terminology?

Yeah, but it was reported by the DETROIT paper -- where cars are built!

Oops, on second thought, maybe they couldn't check their facts database because that car wasn't built in Detroit, but originally imported from Toledo, Ohio.

Guys - it probably wasn't the reporter.
They have editors to write captions for the photos!
