I agree with Phil but I also agree with Bob, So I think once Bob says where we are going to meat it's up to the HAMBers in there areas to meet somewhere and CRUISE together ! Like us Long Beach, Seal Beach, Lakewood, Bellflower guys to meet with Bob and the rest of the bunch.... Make sense ? I was the 4th car in line and I saw a lot of ETHEL'S ( I think she was wearing skull panties too) looking at the cars last Saturday Morning Rolling in HB ! It was Very Cool.... Maybe we should call it: BADBOBS MEAT TOUR !

  2. I'm thinking more like the:
    "GREASY SPOON TOUR"
How you guys get there is up to you. Caravan with guys you know who live near you,or just meet there. It's gonna be at 7PM,so you know i'll be there by 6. There's thousands of restaurants in SoCal,big and small. Any suggestions would help.
    Requirements:Room to park,at least 20 cars
    GOOD food!
    Easy to find
    NO BARS!
    Fun atmosphere
    Different kinds of food:
    Italian,Burgers,BBQ,Steakhouses,etc.

Maybe you should start your tour this friday night, at Big Bobs, Skratch is going to bring the super secret coupe, and at least 30-40 Hambers are going to be there this friday, it's going to be chaotic but fun. Crazy I tell you.

  4. Yea,but the parking sucks! And you have to get there EARLY to get a spot. Somebody gonna save spots? I don't think they allow it.

  5. IMO, the fact that Friday is Hell day on So Cal freeways needs to be taken into consideration. The same reason I haven't made it to the village will make it hard for Bad Bob to get to the Big Boy.

A few places that come to mind:
    Curley's in Signal Hill
    The Oinkster in Eagle Rock
Phillippe the Original in Downtown LA

  6. Chili, I like the way you think...

Add to the list Joe Josts and Johnny Rebs, Cisco Burger, The Pike...All in the LBC

I don't blame you, if I did not live 5 miles away, from Bob's, I would not show up either.

  8. I'm gonna write all the suggestions down, and research them. Keep them comin.

I know I havn't been out to the Village in a while.. I'm guilty about complaining abiout the drive.

I really like the idea of a going to different places each time.

Here's a place that I have been thinking about having somthing at...

Bahooka's in Rosemead is a cool Tiki/trader vic type restruant with plenty atmosphere and a lot of perfect parking. Been around for a long time and easy to get to right off the 19 (Rosemead Ave)

    Check it out.

  10. I'll check it out Gooz,thanks.

  11. Bahooka's rules! They seem top be pretty car friendly too...

I don't know if it is the out of towner in me, but I think that Mel's Diner would be cool for the whole American Graffiti thing.

  17. Hey Guys...I know this is more of a post for the "wanted" section, but I was hoping to limit my request to my fellow local "Idiots". I have an immeditate need for a couple of carbs...94's or 97's. As most of you know my ride has been out of commission for a while now and it seems that every problem that comes up leads to another problem...now it's the carbs. If anybody can assist, let me know ASAP. Thanks and I'll see ya on Saturday at "Bad Bob's Bacon and BS Fest".

I add my support for Bahooka. Another spot would be Glory Days in Cerritos/L.B. area. Carson and Woodruff I think.

Too all bacon eaters. Some time shortly after breakfast I'll be heading to Irwindale Dragstrip for a very special Cacklefest. I've got a 12 passenger E-350 so I can fit up to 11 pork eaters. The action is from 10am to 3pm. Check it out. www.cacklefest.com You can park at my house and hop in. PM me if interested. Joe

  23. Sorry dude...sometimes I forget that only PART of the world revolves around Bad Bob.

    No carbs huh?

  24. Sorry. I sold all of them when I sold the '27T

i used to eat there every day for lunch. they do have good food there.

  27. Been there for the Cruise Night. Nothing but lowriders! NO THANKS!
Got stuck in there til midnight. All the drunk Cholos wouldn't let me out! Kept laughing at me when I asked them to let me out. Now i'm not prejudice,i'm half Mexican! Got nothing against Cholos or Lowriders, just not my scene. All my Uncles have Bombs, and are x-bangers. A bunch of white, tattooed up greasers aren't gonna fit in. IMO of course.

  28. Tomorrow night's the first night, for the new schedule. First Tuesday night of the month. Hope some of you guys can make it out.

  29. I'm definitely in...I need to pay off a debt to a "Dirty" old friend of mine.
