Anybody know what the hardened pin on top of the driver's side, mid-60's 9" axle housing (pic below) is used for? I'm guessing maybe something to do with a brake line fitting, but not positive. If somebody has a pic of it in use, I'd love to see it. Nothing like it on my '57 axle housing.
    Thanks......

A rear end vent tube. Hose goes up under the ch***is maybe with a one-way valve at the end.

I appreciate the reply, but the 'pin' looks to be solid......no hole in it and it's 'file' hard. I think the hole to the left of the pin in the pic, above the ladder bar bracket (it's got a blue plastic cap in it now to keep it clean) is the vent hole. If not, what's that hole for and if it is, then what's the pin for ????

I think the br*** "Y" for the brake line splitter goes there with a "e" clip... the ones on the mopar 8 3/4 hold the "T" and vent.

Sounds good, Mike, thanks. I'll have to find some stockers at a cruise or show and see what they have.
