  1. hey.. i finally got my spindles flipped and the car setting down niceley... but! i have g78-15's on it now... too big, i cant hardly turn... i think i found a good set of ford 14'' wheels, but i need to know if there is a good size white wall i can use? i may just put some small radials on it, im not sure... but i would like to know if any of you guys have a good tire reccommendation?

    thanks

Its been 50 years, but I think I had a problem putting 14s on my 51. It also had flipped spindles and I used 57 Ford wheels. Maybe a later wheel may fit........OLDBEET

My 51 ford sedan had 14"x6 wheels on it. The tire size was like a F78 14. The tires meausured about 26.5 high. They fit with a spindle flip and 1 cut coil. There was a little rubbing. I still have the full set so i can get you the exact tire info. They are even for sale but i'm in Colorado!

Here they are mounted. I think this is with the flipped uprights....

I think that 14's on a shoebox seem a little small, but those F78's don't look bad. I plan to run 15's on my shoebox but now maybe not...

On the other hand, I have 14's on my '63 Ford with a 7.50 x 14 tire, and they look nice on the rim. Roughly a 2" ww.

I have flipped spindles and currently running 14 inch rims.... The Rims hit the control arm.... Stay with the 15's they clear
