I just bought a 66 Ford Pickup, long wheelbase, Fleetside and it needs a little bit of work, but I got a super Good deal. I looked at it today and I can't recall ever seeing one I thought looked *****in or anything. If you got pictures of them post them I need a little motivation. by the way mine needs a new windshield.... what do ya'll think, used or new I can buy a used one for $65 but I have to put it in and I never have before, or I can buy a new one installed for $190. Give me your opinions, what do you think about these trucks? And the windshield question, How would you do yours? Let me know, Thanks

I'll be honest I didn't even know ford made a crewcab. Ford in a Ford or a Mercury for you case is always a good thing.
    Thanks for the post

A buddy of mine just scored a nice 63 3/4 ton. How low can it go on a budget?

I have a 66 f-100 that has been lowered. The best way to do it is with lowered beams but they will cost a little. aim suspension sells about the best i-beams out there. stay away from the beames made out of tubing cause they bend. with 3" drop i-beames , 1 coil cut and 215/65r15 tires the crossmember will be about 3-1/2 inches off the ground but the truck will still ride pretty good. then flip axle the back and it will sit level. it will cost abouot 650.00 for beams, tierod relocators (spelling) and a flip kit + one saturday. 3/4 ton trucks use the same lowering parts. I have 130,000 miles and 7 years on my truck with no problems.........Ian

if you just cut coils and go too far it will destroy the camber and the steering will start to bind......ian
