How many Cheetahs are left?...anyone make a FG body?...

My friend Adam would sell his house if he knew of a deal on one..He claims to know some Cheetah history and tells a story of two competeing GM design teams, Corvette and Cheetah, with a mysterious fire at the Cheetah building that allowed Corvette to continue and succeed..any truth to this?..I'd build him one if we knew of a FG body we could buy....
