To be fair, the seller is just one of those places that lists items for others. That the owner was unable to list it himself likely tells the story.

Hmmm.......you suppose they have 100 actual 32 NOS grille shells for 200 a pop, in a lot? That better be model a #1 off the line's grille shell, signed by henry ford, and be immaculate for that price!

I really wasn't looking to get rid of my '30 A shell. But if anyone wants it for the bargain-ba*****t price of $1500, just let me know! :D

  8. I've got some NOS black plague laying around. How much do you need?

The seller is probably the same guy that listed the 32 Ford Hudson aka "The Green Pep Boys Special" a month ago.

Just noticed the crank hole cover is missing, someone should let them know about that minor flaw. Wonder what they'll charge for packing & shipping?

It might not be too bad if they threw in the rest of the car.

I sold it...the web seller is a franchise.
They really don't know what things are worth.
They just list them and guess. I bought a dvd player from one and it did not even work. They refunded my shipping too.
That 31' shell might be worth 50 tops.:)

I offered him $20 stateing that I have seen and bought a few in the $10 to $ 20 range at swap meets...

But I don't think they will accept the offer because I might have mentioned something about greed and stupidity in the message,

oh well, another $2000 shell slips away right out from underneath my fingers.

That's the third one this week, boo hoo

  25. Damn. I don't have $2000 in all of the Model A's I have, all put together. My buddy's going to be mad when he finds out the grille he swapped to me for three junk 94 carbs, is worth that much.

Can't you buy a repro '32 shell and insert for way less than that? Pretty sure the 1-800-hotrod ad in one of the magazines lists a stainless insert for around $400.

Seems like a bargain compared to the $950,000.00 '74 Trans-Am another guy had listed this week.

Man! I hope the guy doesn't think he ripped somebody off when he bought it for only $1,000.00, and now thinks he's gonna make a nice profit!

Jesus, i scored a mint Model A shell at yard sale for $20...I guess i should cash in on it...
Thats a steal compared to the '32 Ford Winter grills...

The seller is only a 'lister' and does only what her client says..I've dealt with them before but maybe i need to have her sell some of my stuff now!
