Well its been over a year now that I had to sell my 49 chevy. But its been about 5 years since the Ol man said "Well if ya dig at ol Merc outa tha dirt you can have it". At ol merc being a 53 that was bought new by my grandfather and later sold to my dad somtime between him being in high school and going to Nam. All I really know for sure is that it has been sitting in the same spot since 1967. Because it belong to two of my life long heroes (one now passed on) I always wanted to wait till I could do it right. But its been over a year now since I had somthing to play with and i'm getting the itch. I think I just need a little help getting motivated Its going to be a big job. I just need that push over the hill mabe some pics of some 52-54 mercs would do the trick. So please help me by dazzilling me with wonderful ideas and pics. FRONT ENDS WOULD BE A BIG HELP not sure why merc made that front bumper so ugly.

You have to learn to motivate yourself , even if you only get just a little done per day, week ..year ?

You will at very least be moving towards a goal !

One sure way to fail, is to never try

So get out there, make a plan, get started before you know it
You will be a little older, little smarter and proud of yourself for what you have built !!

how's this for motivation-- i'll pick up the car in a couple months if you don't. What I mean is draw a line in your head and decide to sell it or build it. If the date comes and you havent worked on it, maybe its not for you...

    good luck

Nothing wrong with the stock look, maybe some suspension mod's
wide whites , full caps .. enjoy it for awhile .. then re-do, re-do,etc

Perfect only comes in the way of Jessica Alba
