VERY cool indeed, CAB! My boys are buggin' me, chanting "road trrip! road trip!".... (the eldest would wear your shoes to bed if he could... and has offeredd yard maintenance for you...long bike ride!)

    Have a great time!

That lineup could come from any Thrasher mag in the 1980's. Glad to see Hosoi is still ripping the half pipe. Good luck and enjoy the X-games. love the new board and the finger version.

Steve, i had heard a few years ago he was up for parole, im guessing that was just a rumor, seeing how he is still in. Anyway, im glad you guys are still at it,All those names bring back lots of memories. I like the looks of the boards, very old school, have fun.

  7. Right on Steve, sounds like it's going to be awesome.

Are you tellin' me that you guys have to convince the promoters that you should be there?!! (or are my comprehension skills a bit off)

What a list man! This really brings back some memories. My first board was your black dragon board, and I had the McGill board too. I ripped it up (or I thought I was).

Put on great show for the youngsters Steve, show them how we did it back in the day.

Would love to go. Does anyone know which tickets to buy? The 10AM or the 12?

I watched it last night on TV!

wow... amazing he walked away from that fall, that was scary, incredible and a miracle at the same time:)

I'm so stoked he's okay, what these guys are doing is insane and takes alot of courage to do... this is why they call it Extreme, because they go above and beyond what people think is possible to do, they raise the bar and push the limits of what they are capable of doing.

Much respect to Jake and all the boys for doing what they do in that event ...awesome stuff!

leaving Woodward west in Tehachapi tomorrow morning at 6AM to make it on time for our demo.
Thanks for all the encouragement, this is going be sweet!
    Peace...

Man when I was kid I had two ramps in my yard,a dn worked in the mall in a hobby store that sold skate gear (the only reason I worked there) The owner had "The Bones Brigade" come and do and autogragh session to promote The Search for Animal Chin. IT WAS FRIGGIN" AWSOME! Imet one of my all time heros (besides Steve and Tony of course) Lance Mountain! I was so nervous I could barely speak. Now Im 35' and I still skate. I had my board signed and everthing... When I left for the military my parents tossed out all my old decks! Argh! Anyway I think it's great where skateboaring is at and how it is truly seen as a sport and the skill it takes to perform these amazing feets. Great job Steve and thanks!

    Troy,
the demo was awesome today, all the legends ripped it up and it was just so much fun!
not sure if it got any TV coverage, but i heard they showed a little after the vert finals.

as for the deck for the future Hamb Andy auction, i got signatures from:

    Tony Magnusen
    Steve Steadham
    Mike McGill
    Duane Peters
    Tony Hawk
    Chris Miller
    Ben Schroeder
    Christian Hosoi
    lester Kasai
    myself

    I missed kevin Staab, but...

i got Danny Way to sign it in his place:)

As soon as i get home, i mail it back to ya.
    best wishes,
    CAB

Cab. I wish I could have gone to see it all this weekend. Had to work myself. Good to see that you are in good health and no other injuries or mishaps from this weekend' games. KNUX!

  20. Caught the coverage on ESPN.com...I wish they would've captured more, but I loved what I saw. The ramp was nutty.

    Leon,
your welcome, anything to help another Hambrotha out:)

Blessings come to those who bless others!

I also had an artshow last Sat. night in Hollywood for a Juice magazine party and was able to sell this painting there:)

It's a 51 hudson and the last one from a series of 5 i had created in 2004.

Didn't expect to sell it there because it seemed more like a party atmosphere rather than an art show, but got a call last night saying that it sold:)

but this was the highlight of my whole trip, as we did our "legends of vert" demo, half way through it i come off the ramp and hear some call out and say ..."hey Cab" i look over and It's Ricky Carmichael! i walk over to shake his hand and he says "Your ripping dude". I said thanks and told him how amazing it was last night watching him race and win the X-Games MX event. I had the biggest grin on my face walking back up the stairs of the vert ramp and all i could think was how rad. The "Goat" (greatest of all time) is watching and supporting our demonstration on the ramp ...Wow!
