Anybody got a pic of the adjuster arm brakcet for the alternator on a Zip's water pump riser set up for a SBC that Pete and Jakes sells? Need pic help Rusty
The instructions that came with mine called for a GM truck series 50-60 PN715894, but this is no longer available thru GM. Here's a URL of the instruction sheet that has a drawing showing what it should look like: http://www.southernrods.com/instructions/zip-water-pump-riser-install.pdf. I ended up using a Mr. Gasket universal.
the istructions does not say clearly which bolt the adjuster goes through, the first picture posted does not have a compressor mounted. If the compressor was mounted the ar would not clear. Any pics of that arear? thanks for all the help so far Rusty
Most Hot Rod shops sell a rod with two heim type ends ... one right hand thread and one left hand thread so when you turn the rod ... it gets longer and adjusts the belts. I bought mine from Shane T @ Southern Rods and Parts ... About $225 ... I saw a few at the Nationals ... $199 show special
I used one of those universal alt. brackets that you can get at almost any parts store and I bent and shaped it to cleanly to fit. They work great and are the right length also.
