Oh boy..... put up or shut up because Streamliner is here. Dang! Anyway....I haven't messed with this thing in a month, but the last thing I did was put in a nicer backlight instead of that ****py square Mopar thing. I still need to carve the inner channel for the "gl***" & scribe the molding. Click on the link for more 41 Plymouth Construction I got sidetracked into working on a 51 Fleetline, & that's what I've been hacking on this month. No pics yet. Steve SBKustoms
Another thing that works really well to strip paint is a product called Super Clean. I think Castrol makes it. You can get it at Walmart and any store like that. It comes in a big purple bottle. Get a container and fill it with the stuff. Let your model soak for a couple hours and the paint will come right off with no harm to the plastic. It will also strip chrome rather quickly.
Yep Millie, EVERY sunday we actually got a good thread going this week 4 pages. I started a Grant King sprint car this week, il snap some shots.

Are they really shutting the doors on AMT??? Is ERTL selling it off or are they gonna trash it? I had such a sad time when the resurge of Johan in the 90s failed, now AMT/MPC goin down is a real bummer. I guess I shouldn't be too sad, I only work on kits a few times a year now and haven't finished anything in over 10 years. And I have so many kits left, if I did 1 a year I would make it past 100 years old.
yeah, amt is gonna be missed, i just hope they dont get rid of their molds, maybe revell could pick em up and start making them in better quality plastic!
Hey Ol'skool I just came back from wal-mart....and i scored ONE revell mercury Check behind everything on the toy isle! i found mine behind some r/c stuff near the models.
Regulars would have seen this before but hell, theres a few 40s and chops so I'll throw this one in. I realy need to finish it..... One day..........................
I just found the Merc kit a Wal Mart in Salem NH.It's the best kit ever! Also they had the Dodge cab over kit with the flat bed trailer and '40 Ford coupe!
