I want to paint my daily and was wondering how the flatz product held up? Is it worth the money or should I just stick with my DP 90?

I've used it. Sprayed about a year ago and so far the car still looks good . When mixed by the directions it is really thin. Others are saying not to add the supplied reducer they are probably right.

I was talking with the guy who supposedly developed Hot Rod Flatz today at a show and he was suprised to hear that people are spraying without the reducer.

I used the Vanilla shake color for my Ranchero. It turned out looking pretty well. I sprayed mine without the reducer also. It was still pretty thin and you have to have your gun settings just right. It took about 5 coats total to get mine to even out over a buff primer. Darker colors might not need to use as much. Good luck!

Ive used it, silver sled over sea foam green. i didnt use the reducer either. The colors look different than the chip unless you clear them. I used the flat clear on the outside thinking the paint would hold up better but found that I didnt need it. I cleared the inside parts and it really brought out the color and metallic. I liked it myself but that is the only thing I have sprayed.

I used the mint green no reducer. It being alight color it took a few coats to cover over grey primer. I could see shadows of grey still after two coats. It seems to be a decent product.
