Buffalo N.Y. (Lancaster Drag Park) Anyone Going?

Any HAMB'ers going to Lancaster N.Y. this weekend for 3 days of great nostalgic drag racing? I will be attempting drag racing for the first time here in my new car. I guess I will have to wire my foot, brain and "****" together !!!! Last year I would guess there were 150 drag cars, I don't know for sure, but they ran constant.....

This is a great Willy's event, front end sitting way up there just like the old g***ers.... There were a pile of Willy's g***ers there last year and I am sure there will be more this year from what I hear.....

 

I think the East Coast g***ers are there, yes? I would like to make it...probably be working though...It should be a good time.

 

That's this weekend? Damn. I usually go. Can't this year.

Lastr year they charged like $25 bucks to get in. Way too steep. Wonder if they got smart and made it more reasonable?

I think it is $20 on Saturday and $15 on Sunday just to walk in the gate.

I'll be there both days . Price is 20 for Sat., 15 for Sun. Lots to see there. Sat. is featuring 8 supercharged nostalgia Pro Mods, 4 nostalgia Funny cars, and 2 wheelstanders. Sun. is nostalgia drags all day and a 300 + car show. Hell of a deal for the money, IMHO. Wheather forcast( as of now) looks great too.

 

I might be there Sunday. I brought the Rambler down last year for display but the *****s wouldn't let it sit in the infield for the show....so I put it up on one of the turns on the oval opposite the g***ers.

I'm thinking about bringing it out there again for display on Sunday.

If you want to take a shot at Lancaster’s 1/8 mile, car show entrants can enter. In keeping with the Nostalgia theme, only 1975 or older vehicles are eligible to compete. All entries must p*** an IHRA safety inspection.

Did you notice it's 5 bucks cheaper to enter your car in the show on Sunday vs. walking through the gate ?

 

And you automaticly get better parking......

 

SO, what's it gonna cost for a family of 4 to get in WITH the car on Sunday??? Do they charge for the car PLUS p***angers?? Not a lot of info on the Clutch Artists web site.....

I like how they charge you a dollar for kids 7 & under. If I were a parent I'd feel less offended if they charged $5.

It's almost like they are thinking "Why let the little one's in for free when we can make each family that shows up with a kid under 7 pay just one more buck per kid?"

 

...tell me you'll at least stop at Alton's for breakfast? (damn I miss that place)

I miss going to Lancaster, having grown up at that track for the most part... Like a lot of shows in WNY, better off to enter your car in the show if you'ree taking family. Hopefully someone will post pics?

Hey Ron! How goes it? I would call the track - 716- 759-6818 ,to get the scoop on what it will co$t you and the family w/ car. Bring earplugs for the little guys, and maybe yourself! Hope to see you there!

 

And you can bring your own pop,food,beer, etc., in with your car, so you don't have to buy their overpriced ****.

hey phil i think my buddy will be there sat and sun with his woddy gilmore ch***is nitro hemi digger the old brewmaster **** Gaylord car. this will be his first time at the track with it. . he is the guy that built my motor for the stude and has the sick blown 392 hemi 38 dodge coupe . i'm gonna try to make it out saturday. let me know if you will be there sat. i would love to see the bucket in person

Saturday I'll be more than likely helping my buddy Art with this car, look for it and I should be close or I'll be b.s.ing with someone, my friends say that I know everybody...lol

 

whoever is bringing their car make sure and get there early, the line backs out onto Gunville road from both directions and you might have to wait a while to get in
