I'm going over to the Hyatt in a couple hours to see the show. There's a swap and some other stuff. I just got off the phone with 64Wagon, and he was there this morning to see the early risers. He's got an opportunity to do something really cool, but I'll let him tell you about it. Anyway, here's a link to more info: http://deuce75.com/
I just got home from there a lot of super nice 32's out there but its rainning now and that sucks a lot more car on the freeway headed that way
Think I'll wait & go to the Hyatt tomorrow. Supposed to be dry. Talk about an expensive show. Friend has an original steel full fendered roadster that he won't be showing because of the cost. I hear $50 entry with all the extras costing more. Ride around Ford test track extra , Greenfield Village tour Sat. extra.
PLUS ... they are letting all the fiberglass cars in and anything with a Ford V8 Flathead Not really a true celebration of the 1932 Ford ... IMHO. Disclaimer : I have nothing against fiberglass cars and Henry's V8 ... BUT ... cars like the one in the above photo do not belong at a 32 Ford event sponsored by Ford ... IMHO.
I try to never be an elitist, but I agree with DeuceRoadster.....it should be nothing but HF 32's for this type of a celebration.....but the big money guys would be pissed if they can't bring their stuff too. You will notice I didn't use the forbidden "GC" term ha!!!
I will go as far as saying my 32 Ford should not be allowed either ... and it is a original 32 Ford roadster body/fenders/frame. But with the Chevrolet engine ... it should not be entered either. If it had a Ford engine ... and was still a hot rod YES ...
Look at who is in charge of this thing. Hall, Crane etc. Maybe the $50 fee is to keep out the rif raf.
