Liked the price advertized for their EZ21 for my Ford, but don't know if they're problematic. What's been yer experience? If money weren't a problem, I'd get a Francis kit, but trying to get 'er running sooner with out it being an iffy system (tricky dance, I know). Thanks for any feedback.

I use them on my own cars and customers cars and never had a problem.

I liked the ezwire kit. very similar to a painless setup (wires already attached to the fuse block, wires marked every couple inches), complete, good wiring harness. used it in my chysler and it was the quickest wiring job yet. got a painless for another friends car and the wires were too short to go all the way to the back, not so with ez wire (and a 50 chrysler is a long car!).

I have used them on several cars with zero problems... but if you do a search you'll find that several HAMBers had some pretty serious problems with them. It seems to me that they had a bad run of production for a while, but all the problematic ones were a couple years ago or more. The most re-occurring issue is there were bad crimps on the wires going into the back of the fuse block... so if you get an EZW kit, check those real good before you put it in the car.

I will say their instructions are pretty lame. If you don't have a decent understanding of automotive wiring to begin with, then spend the extra on another system. I was just looking at an American Autowire kit at my Dad's shop this past weekend. I was impressed.

Also, there is a HAMBer who sells Rebel Wire kits in the cl***ifieds. I haven't really heard much feedback on them other than the fact that they ship your order quickly.

I have only installed an American Autowire Highway 22 kit (lotsa wiring in the past, this was the first kit I have ever used). Great parts, good instructions.

  9. I went with the Rebel Wire kit for my Ford. Look up glenn33 here on the board, he is the one selling the kits. Bob is the man who puts them together and he went out of his way to answer all of my newb questions. Good price and Alliance discount too.

I put and EZ in my truck and one in my brother-in-laws nova. Its all quality stuff, to me the the more expensive kits don't justify their price over the EZ wiring.

Thanks for the feedback! Gonna go ask Glenn. Preppin' the dash for orange (on silver base) flaked dash top, middle will be a flat orange, black on the bottom, same with the doors. Cleared her out of all the wiring mess, gotta clean slate, just trying to fund raise. Thanks again

I have installed EZ wiring in two of my rods with NO snags.
Definitely has my vote. They were also the cheapest price at the time.

I've used a bunch of EZ kit's as well. I used the 12 circut kit in my 53.
I've had good luck with them as far as quality, but thier instruction's do kind of ****.

I have an EZ wire kit in my highboy... no problems, and it makes it super easy to track wires down since they are all marked every 10 inches or so with exactly what goes where... Looking for the horn wire? Just find the one that says "horn" on it. Doesn't get any "EZer" than that. I do recall someone posting a big rant about how they ****ed and were dangerous, yadda yadda yadda... I remember being concerned about it at the time, but its good to see so many people that have used them and like them, with no problems. I'd recommend em.

I bought a 8 wire kit for my A coupe from Rebel Wire. The price was good, the tech help was outstanding. Not a problem with it so far. Would buy from them again.

I ordered a Kwik wire kit for my 54 F100. Great quality but I was a little upset about the shipping cost. They charged me $35.00 to ship it from WI and I'm in Minnesota! Shipping shouldn't have been more then $15.00. Next time I'm going to go with the Rebel Wire kit.

I'm putting one in the A and it seems like good quality stuff. All the wires are labelled and with plenty of wire. Tell them what your set up is and they'll fix ya up. The A looks like gbones32's car...looks like it's on life support in the hot rod ICU.
