I am a compulsive buyer and should go to these places. just stopped in to look for a part for a customers 40 plymouth. this Buick was very solid and factory stick (much better than an early dynaflow) I ran out to my car without check the price. I like to dig thru the old busses and stick bellhousing are always fun. but that Buick has been on my mind for a week now
That rusty cast iron bell on the left side of the "tree" near the top looks like it's from a Pontiac V8 powered GMC truck.
That Buick almost looks driveable. You should go back and check the price. See what they want for the 2-dr Mercury, too.
I miss good old walk-thru junkyards........... I found a crutch in a trunk once, been afraid to throw it out. Murphy's Law, ya know?
I doubt any of those cars would get crushed, somebody knows what they have there. That GTO next to the Chevy wagon is interesting, I'd be checking that one out.
Alot of people ask me where I get alot of my parts and I reply with, "a very good junkyard that I know of". They always stare at me in disbelief like junkyards contain just that, JUNK. If they only knew
I think it's more like, where the hell do you find a junkyard anymore with cars older than about 1987?
I really like that Buick, I'm not going back. All American Auto Wreckers, Vancouver Washington call'em yourself. I'm really weak when it comes to buying projects

Yeah someone needs to get that 51 Buick. Paperdog thats not the trim they want that would be 52, 53 Buick trim your thinking of.
Don't you believe it. A friend of mine that owns a salvage crushed a bunch of old iron because he thought they were too ugly for anyone to want. He trashed a model T bed that had straight sides - last week. I went to get it and found it setting under a stack of cars. ARRRRRGGGGH He was telling me that day that there were a bunch that needed to go. Although, he is selling the salvage and when the contract is officially signed, they are shutting down and crushing EVERYTHING. I bought this just because I didn't want to see it go.
Yeah. I bought about 30 cars last summer for the same reason, didn't want to see it go. And I still missed a near-complete '26-7 T, a '41 Pontiac coupe which while the frame was bad, the dash and grille were perfect on, and a '38 Chevy tudor sedan that turned out to be pretty decent once it was out from under the brush. One '55 Ford 4dr came out looked like you could park it on a used car lot and sell it as it was - the body was solid, the black paint was shiny, the interior was good, it even already had red wheels for the rat crowd. Made me wish I'd had more money, probably every car they plucked out I would have been waving money at the loader guy.
