I got the bug bad...after buying the A coup as my main project,I decided to sell my 2003 Ford 4 banger small truck for a more satisfying daily driver...IM between two cars: 1- a 1951 Ford club coupe--very original (Flathead) and running... 2- a 1951 Chevy canadian Bel air --very original as well... I still dont have pics of the Chevy, but IM posting some of the Ford... Any input, personal experience,on which would make a better driver is appreciated!!! Thanks a lot!!!
wow its pink..... both cool cars though... the shoeboxes are easier to slam. but i bet the chevy would be more reliable.
GO WITH THE CHEVY! I mean, the pink looks cool and all, but the Chevy is just a much cooler car. But i'm a chevy guy. I'm sure that the shoebox would be just as reliable as the Chevy, but you would have to change that flathead out with lets just say a 350.
Without seeing the chevy, its hard to say. The ford looks to have some problems. Rear bumper looks bent on right side and paint appears to have been spoted in on the left side. Never have like wheel wells cut out. as far as being reliable, the ford is as good as the chevy.
Seeing cutout wheel arches makes me wonder how much of the body is "original" and how much of it is galvinized tin or some other **** with 3/4 inch of bondo over it. Given you're in Brazil, parts for either one are liable to be a pain in the ***. I'd look and see what I could get parts for the easiest and go with that one. And I wouldn't limit myself to just those two cars, if anything else that era is available I'd look it over too. Fuel is a concern, too, seems to me that E85 **** is a lot more widespread there than here. Niether of those will run that well on it, pretty sure the compression is too low if nothing else.
Wow know that is a ***ty pink Ford. You might catch a bit of heat about the color but it is way cool.
