    What a week!

I started working on Wednesday - five full days before I was ready to get started! Oh well, I'll figure it all out before school starts on the 20th.

Anyway, I was set to have the front clip blasted for my desk, and the guy who was going to do it flaked on me, so I'm going to be out there tomorrow scuffing and cleaning it up to get it ready for some paint. Next week is going to be hell for me timewise, so I have to get it done this weekend if it is going into the cl***room.

The plan is to head to the car was tomorrow morning to spray off as much of the loose paint and other ac***ulated **** as I possibly can, then come back here to hopefully finish the prepwork on it to begin spraying the underside. Then I'll flip it back over, and spray the outside of the fenders, hood, and grill so I can get the paint drying in the 100+ degree heat and sun.

Anyone who wants to help, or wants to come by and supervise, I can't offer much other than my heartfelt thanks as of this time. However, future beer'd be on me.

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

    ~Greg

Here's a link to the entire project so far.

Oh, I've also decided on a paint scheme for it as well, and it has to do with what we are doing with our school and in my cl***room. Going to shoot the body of the thing a dark blue, and then do the flames in a yellow color. It's a long story, but this should look pretty cool when I'm done.

are you making it so it can be dis***embled for moving or are you gonna weld it all together. i like the idea, im sure it will turn out pretty cool.

I'm building it so it will be able to be dis***embled down into 3 pieces and be ***embled in the cl***room. The fenders will attach to the desk via some angle iron, as will the lower sections of the back of the fenders as well. The core support will rest on a wooden block and should be fine bolted down to it. I'll attach the hood using the hood latch in the front, but use a couple of nuts and bolts to hold it down in the rear since there are no hinges, and I'm planning to cut a section out of the top of the rear of the hood where it actually sits over my desk.

When I'm done with this thrashing, and things settle down a bit, I'll be hunting for a pair of WWW tires, rims, and hub caps to mount up inside the fenderwells. When I'm done with it, it should be pretty slick.
