OK befor any you guys Jump, Nope its no Hot Rod we have lovingly started calling her the Ugly Prom Date #2 (ya theres a story) Its been awhile since ive done much or found anything, but here you go my latest prize and future daily driver But it does Just Make the HAMB age Limit, she is a young pup for the HAMB though this is a 64" Dart 270, 4-Door Sedan, 273 V8,(first year on that) Push ****on Auto (i really dont like Autos, But theres something cool about a Push****on one 273s still there, (Hell the whole cars here ive never see that befor) but pulling it for a rebuild and in the mean time she gets a 318, now the cool & neat stuff, Power Brakes, Power Stearing, a Posi-Trak SP? Rear End? (explain that one to me), and the most blessed of dealer installed Options....an AIR CONDITIONER so far im please My next Goal HAMB Drags 2 weeks I hope to bring this Car Losta work But Does the Community have any objections.? i realize this is the cut off year, But its not a Mustang nor a Muscle Car and i think kinda a neat little Ride...Plus its GOT AIR and my other options a ford Ranger If the community would rather me not I understand, i really hoped to have my Model-A done, but life hasent gave me the opprtunity Eather way See you at the HAMB Drags O Ya Pics
A few years later the Dart's started to **** bad, but 64-65 were pretty good. You know you can get a 400+c.i. stroker small block in there that will look just like that 273 (evil grin).
That car is cool. Exners designs could be pretty hideous but on the smaller body it is looks rather constrained. I dig that blade bumper with the mini overriders too
Bring it on ... Cannot see it from my house ... If it pulls your trigger ... do it ... Beats coming in a late model ... or NOT coming at all ...
at least your going to make it the drags so i won't poke fun. kinda reminds me of my dog so ugly he's cool plus going in the dart is way cooler than driving a honda there thats why i'am not going, i have no cool ride yet. its still parts.
I'll say it, and yell if you must- Pull off all the great hot rod parts and send the rest to a Dodge recycler. The front end has got to be worth keeping for somebody with a 2 door version. Aww hell it's so ugly you have to keep it. Just make it really really fast. Tim
Thanks for the Kind Words Guys ive spent the last 4 hours trying to get the engine out, you know there one trans bolt down there on the back that they must have trained a monkey to change at a shop i liked to never got it out...wish i could pull motor and ****** both but all those cable scare me going into the trans
Did you get the one behind the oil filter, and above the starter? Easy to miss even for us 'trained monkeys.'
If all goes well by monday or tuesday i can get a test drive in and see how things work, remiiinds me i need to change ****** fluid an Filter while im at it..............well back to work hehe when i put motor back in Buckeye-01 would you send the trained monkey over
Hay thats looks rough to face down in the lane next to you any idea what year it is.? the tail lights look diffrent than mine so its a 65" maye.?
The pic above is a Valiant, Plymouth's version of the Dart. You'll love this little car as a driver. I had several Darts and Valiants over the years and loved them all. Solid and reliable to a fault.
