I posted a newer vehicle for sale on Craigslist and got my very first Email response that I thought you guys would get a good laugh at.........

    What a ****ing joke.
Here it is for all to laugh at..........

    Hello,

I am interested in the immediate purchase of your item placed on Craigslist
and I will like to ask few questions before I proceed on the purchase.

1 :- Is the item available for sale ?

2 :- What is the condition of the item ?

3 :- Do you accept a cashiers check as mode of payment?

4 :- Where is the item located ?

5 :- What is the final price of the item ?

6 :- Will you be able to send more pictures to see how it look likes ?

7 :-Will you allow my Shipper come to your house for the pick up of the
item cos I don't want you to worry yourself about the shipping of the item.?

8 :- Will you be able to wire the Shipping fess via western union money
transfer to my shipper cos the total payment which include the shipping
charges and some other commissions needed to get the item to its
destination would be issued altogether on the check?

9 :- If accepted kindly get back to me with your full name and contact
address including your phone number so that my client can mail out the check
    right away?

    Thanks

    Smith Cole

Isn't it great thet he is so concerned about me worring about a shipper - mighty big of him huh ?

I should tap my tracer and forwarded it to the Feds.

Been 3 years since I did the last trace that nailed the another ******* with the same ********.

They make me so angry. I made the mistake of telling one of these dudes to **** off once. I realized thats what they want. When I replied (i think i said his mom screws goats or something), my e-mail address went out to thousands of ***holes trying to give me the estates of dead nigerian millionaires. ****ers.

Yea- you don't want to reply in haste.
Better to don't reply at all.

I can bait him and play with it to get the routing of where he's at and forward to the feds, but it takes some time that I don't quite have according to the Mrs. List this weekend.

I guess were going to the state fair tomorrow.

I got one of those e-mails from some foreign prince that wanted me to deposit a bunch of money in my checking account to save for him until he could get to the US. I replied back that I would be glad to help if he would send cash in US funds.

That scam been around for a while. They send you all of the money then you send the shipper there money and they have the car and you have no money. Let him send the money. then tell him that you will not let the car go until it clears on both ends. THat will usually stop them.

Thats great. I would have to save that and have a look at it when I was in need of a good laugh. I also got one of those from some prince or something about a year ago. I'm really glad that I didn't reply.
    Cheers,

Here is how the scam works, they send you a cashiers check , printed on a stolen check, you deposit said cashiers check into your account. Fed law states that a cashies check funds be made available to you with in 24-48 hours of deposit. This is where they get you, the funds will show up in your account, this does not mean that the check has cleared. So seeing the funds in the bank you then do what they have asked about paying the shipper x number over the purchase price of the car. When the check does actually clear it is determined to be a bogus check and the bank then comes after you! For p***ing a bad check they will close your account and you will have a very difficult if not impossible time ever getting another bank account. I have a fun time collecting these bogus checks from these idiots, making them spend big money time after time to send the check to me via Fed Ex! Lagos is one of the most prevalent places of origin. They use all kinds of stories like there wife is dieing or kid need surgery !

Nail his *** to the wall! It's fun playing cop especially to get the feds on your side. And, it's one less goshdarn spammer to worry about if you do turn him in, they are getting hard on these ****ers here lately it seems.

The son of one of my buddies got bit in the *** by this scam. He had posted on a web board that he wanted to sublet his apartment at PSU, and he got a check to cover like 6 months rent, and the guy told him to deposit it, and get some back to him and he did. Cost him like 3,500 bucks, but lesson learned. I bet you didn't think they taught common sense in college, he should have gotten a credit for that one!
