It does look like a Rupp kart gone turbonique. For that coin the seller needs to provide a bit more detail on the history I would think.

I've sat in it.. and it is cool as hell...

its currently owned by a college friend (the owner of njauction.com)

most likely his advertisement tells you everything HE knows about it.. (as he's not a "car guy")

I saw an older post about turbounique and thought about this thing right away.. I wondered if it MIGHT be something they made...

how could it be identified as a turbounique product?

Hydro/peroxide is activated by an electrofied platinum wire grid. Saw a go-kart powered by one 20 years ago. If memory serves...it did 180mph in the quarter mile.

It is EXTREMELY corrosive and uses straight, consentrated peroxide. Not the diluted stuff at the local drugstore.

Handling and storing the fuel is the real problem.

I wrote Ky (the Rocketman) to see if he had any other knowledge of the car. He is the current planet Earth recreational rocket god. I'll likely get some more info on it from him and post it up for your buddy and us. Really neat car but I don't think it's Turbonique.

Here's one from the Don Garlitts' museum. I think it was named "Thom Thumb".
I think it's the same type setup.
